I already do this.
I've already solved this.
I'm not interested in solving this problem over and over again, or
having people tell me that Debian is hard to use with XEN.
Have you actually read the scripts? They go to some effort to maintain
settings, but their life would be easier if they had more support from
ifup and friends.
