The only issue i've even seen is with machine where the netwerk-card/driver
didn't support (ipv6) multicast properly. Which for example happens on my N2100
(arm box) with a RTL-8169.  The obvious indication of this situation is that
things start working as soon as you use tcpdump on the machine :)

Probably not the main cause in your situation, but something to keep in mind if
you've got exotic hardware.

I've been using network-manager for quite some time now and never had an issue
with ipv6. Can you be more specific here ?
