Extract from my server's interfaces:

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
	address 192.168.119.16
	netmask 255.255.255.0
iface eth0 inet6 static
	address 2001:838:37f::1
	netmask 64

i.e., you just add an extra stub for ipv6.
