eth0 is for your internal network (if you have a router.)

I am not sure about the whole /16 thing.  A lot of the examples suggest
using it, but frankly I am baffled as to why.  However, it seems to
work.  Are you saying it should be a /48?

If you could give a diff to the text, I'd be glad to apply it; I'm still
a newbie at this and wanted to help out other people in the same boat.

I'm not going to bother with this.  This is an intro guide to just get
the darn thing going.  Once it comes to this point, they can move on to
a more advanced guide.
