I don't know whether Sogou has been adapted to fcitx5 yet. Sending this also to Jianfeng Li (Ubuntu Kylin), who may be able to give us a status report.I talked to Sogou today and they said they will try to finish the migration before Ubuntu 22.04 Freeze, but as far as we know it is a bit difficult.
Ok..
Hopefully there is no need to postpone the removal of the coexistence patch. To avoid confusing upstream, I think you guys can just move forward at your own pace, we can use google pinyin or other input methods before Sogou finish the migration.
Thanks for taking that stance on the matter, handsome_feng! Then Ubuntu Kylin 22.04 won't be a blocker for adapting to upstream and let fcitx5 conflict with fcitx4.
FTR I have asked the Lubuntu folks why they still install fcitx4: https://irclogs.ubuntu.com/2021/11/23/%23ubuntu-devel.html#t09:59 Looks like you can breathe a sigh of relief, Boyuan. ;) -- Rgds, Gunnar
