As pointed out by Gunnar, ibus upstream started to include XKB layouts
into it recently. This may be the root cause of problem.

Also ibus upstream is not RH packager any more. So RH has slightly
different source. What code base chase is one big question.

I saw Antoine forcing to use xim by setting GTK_IM_MODULE environment
variable to xim instead of ibus. I now know his motivation. But ibus
library to use xim as its input path will cause trouble since this is
buggy.

Since input scheme diverged a lot and we also have to deal with systemd
and wayland, it is getting difficult for previous maintainers like me to
keep up with all these. (The same is said for im-config)

Changwoo and Gunnar, please take lead for next release.
