There are many bug reports that contain translated templates of
different quality (I got a German template for one of my packges
that was not really good German...). Would it be possible to make
a central database for each language that contains translated
templates (and that has a seperate maintainer who speaks the language
fluently) and that works comparable to the .po files of gettext?

This would improve both the speed of getting translated templates
into the distribution and the quality of the translated templates.

TIA
Adrian

It seems the expecting feature was a compendium, that has been generated
for some years already, thus closing the bug report.

Feel free to reopen it with more information if I misunderstood the
request.
