Adding Sindhi to debian-installer

Hi,
I am Abdul-Rahim Nizamani, and I am a coordinator for the Sindhi translators group for Ubuntu at Lauchpad. I tried to get my language "Sindhi" into the debian-installer package in Ubuntu, and got the following response which says I should get this language included in the upstream.

Can anyone help me how to start the process for adding Sindhi to debian-installer? Here are the details for this new language:

Name:   Sindhi
Sindhi name:  سنڌي
Spoken in:  Pakistan (mainly), and India
Writing script: Arabic (with extra characters)
ISO 639-1 code:  sd
ISO 639-2 code:  snd
Locales:              sd_PK, sd_IN
Text direction:  RTL (right to left)

I can take the responsibility for being the main contact for this language. I will be happy to provide any more information that is required. Some of the translated strings are available in the Ubuntu package of debian-installer, and I don't know how to export it upstream. But the first task is the make Sindhi available in the list of languages, so at least the locale and keyboard layout can be fixed during the installation.

Best regards,
Abdul Rahim Nizamani

The first step is to get this added to debian-installer upstream, that
is, in Debian. The Debian translation coordinators should be happy to
help you out with this. Here's some documentation:

  http://d-i.alioth.debian.org/doc/i18n/

I won't be able to do any more on this bug until that's reasonably
complete.
