Even though you mailed that you are not speaking of apt-proxy your response raised some concerns: Do *not* close bugs directly before the upload happens. If the bugs are related to some package you are expected to close them through the changelog and closing them beforehand will just raise confusion and propably in reopening of the bugs. What you could do (in case it would be related to one of your packages), use tagpending and tag them as pending for the time being until your sponsor did finally upload the package. So long, Rhonda
