Step 3/4 l10n framework: Export of translations
A developer is ready for an upload and would like to include
all translations. The Free Translation Project[1] sends a
mail to developers when it receives updated translations from
the registered translator.
An alternative is to provide a tool to developers which will
download a tarball containing all translations and extract them
at the right place in her package.
But we already have a system to communicate with developers, which
is the Bug Tracking System[2]. Moreover if the developer has some
concerns with the translation, she has to contact the translator.
These discussions are most of the time private. On the contrary,
the BTS allows everyone to have a look at the situation, which
is very useful, for instance for NMUs or to get other people
involved in the discussion.
