i18n work session in Extremadura, Spain, September 2006

Regarding the planned i18n work session in Extremadura, Spain, September
2006:

I've already mailed Christian privately about this, but I'd like to
publicly state that I'm very much interested in participating in this
meeting, but I fear I might not be able to, due to monetary reasons (plane
tickets from Argentina are quite expensive).

I've worked with the DDTP project and I'm very much interested in reviving
it. Also, since the times of the DDTP, I've always dreamed of a web
interface that makes translations easy.

Now, we've seen this, and it's called "Rosetta", but unfortunately, it's
not free for Debian to use. So, I'd very much like to do the Debian
version of Rosetta (someone please come up with another cool name, I don't
know if I can beat it myself).

So, my plans are to try and develop such interface in the near future. I
don't know in what state it will be in September 2006, it might be ready or it
might still be a beta, but I'm sure that the team work will be good for it.
We might test it, polish it, or actually start using it, I can't tell now.

If I'm unable to be present during the meetings, I hope I can still get
some work done from the far south of the world.
