Hello, do you mean that you set a translator that automatically encrypts the files as they are accessed? Do you already have a Hurd VM running, and did you already experiment with the available translators to get an idea how Hurd translators work and what they can do? That is the first important step. Try out what it does, then you’ll have a much better idea of what you can do with the Hurd.
