Emacs troubles after dist-upgrade

I was able to install emacs-nox after initial install.

After a apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade:

    $ sudo emacs /etc/fstab
    sudo: emacs: command not found

And:

$ sudo apt-get install emacs-nox
