I installed HURD from the latest DVD ISO at . I might be missing something, but it looks like the graphical installer got the names of the hard drive a dvd drive backwards. /dev/hd2 is the size of the dvd in the dvd drive; and /dev/sd0 is the size of the hard drive I created for the virtual machine.
