I don't see the big issue with this: With the naming now you cannot make more
than one custom version of the 1.6 release. As it is now you cannot make several
versions of e.g. gnumach-1.6+git20160311-1-486 either until a new 1.6+git<date>
version is out.

And the created package names are awful. It would be much better to create
custom versions of a given kernel, like gnumach-1.6.custom<current date> or
gnumach-1.6.custom1, gnumach-1.6.custom2, etc

However, I'll fix this, a new patch will follow subsequently.
