Bug#685925: libpst: FTBFS on hurd-i386
Source: libpst
Version: 0.6.54-4
Severity: important
Tags: patch
User: debian-hurd@lists.debian.org

Hi, libpst does not build for GNU/Hurd due to PATH_MAX issues. Attached
is a patch to enable a successful build. The first part of the patch
checks for the availability of get_current_dir_name() and use that
function if available. The second part removes the need to use PATH_MAX
in pst2dii.cpp.in by allocating dynamic buffers as needed.
Additionally, for pst2dii to be built the requirement of
libgd2-noxpm-dev can be complemented with libgd2-xpm-dev, in order to be
able to have e.g. libgphoto2-2 libgphoto2-2-dev libsane libsane-dev
installed. Otherwise these will be removed.
The proposal is to replace
libgd2-noxpm-dev | libgd-dev
with
libgd2-noxpm-dev | libgd2-xpm-dev
in debian/control. This change is not included in the patch.
libgd-dev seems to be a purely virtual package, and a search for it only
finds the two versions above.
Thanks!
