No, it's no wonder. Most of the POSIX interface does work nicely. E.g.
the perl testsuite now only has a very few tests which fail.

Depends what functionality you find essential. To my needs, it's mostly
mail & building stuff.  The mail part needs network with recent cards,
which is not finished yet, that's mostly why I can't yet use the Hurd
for day-to-day work.
