Also inetuils-syslogd is trying to eat 100% CPU time, endlessly
logging like this:

#v+
Jan 20 00:07:59 shitbox syslogd (GNU inetutils 1.5): restart
Jan 20 00:07:59 shitbox syslogd (GNU inetutils 1.5): restart
Jan 20 00:08:00 shitbox syslogd: cannot create /dev/log: Address already in use
Jan 20 00:08:00 shitbox syslogd: poll: Bad file descriptor
Jan 20 00:08:06 shitbox /usr/sbin/cron[124]: (CRON) STARTUP (fork ok)
Jan 20 00:08:31 shitbox last message repeated 85443 times
Jan 20 00:09:32 shitbox last message repeated 196675 times
Jan 20 00:10:33 shitbox last message repeated 196800 times
Jan 20 00:11:34 shitbox last message repeated 196922 times
[...]
#v-

Two of it being started in parallel?

Here is what inetutils-inetd has to tell:

#v+
Jan 20 12:41:53 shitbox inetd[1989]: telnet/tcp: socket: Protocol family not supported
#v-

Resorting to version 2:1.5.dfsg.1-2 of inetutils-inetd, which I could
gather from <http://snapshot.debian.net/>, this is fine again.

 Thomas
