Hi,
i've successfully installed Debian K14 mini iso on QEmu ( 0.9.0 under
WinXP ) with no issues. Install works fine, apt-get works fine,
console server works fine. Cannot test X11 yet.

Try it, and we'll discuss possible problems, ok?

i have Serial-ATA and i read on "help-hurd" mailing list that HURD
lacks drivers for it. my BIOS does not possess IDE-compatibility mode.
someone here advised QEMU but QEMU
supports only K9 discs whereas latest is K14.

any idea on installing Debian/HURD K14 on my system ?

Is it much difficult to write Serial-ATA hard disk  drivers for HURD ?
