Yes, Kiran's work include manipulation of GRUB. Kiran and his team are now trying to get X Windows on the screen. And they may also have to do a bit of documentation work on official docs maintained by Philip Charles - the lead architect for this work.

So are these images going to supersede the ones from the K serie?

And another question: does this custom installer also install GRUB?
I find the absence of a bootloader installation step in the K images really
annoying.
