apt-get xchat: cannot find gconf-schemas even if it is installed
Hi everyone,
another packaging quirk, this time with xchat:
----
Setting up xchat-common (2.6.8-0.3) ...
/var/lib/dpkg/info/xchat-common.postinst: line 5: gconf-schemas: command
not found
dpkg: error processing xchat-common (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 127
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of xchat:
xchat depends on xchat-common (= 2.6.8-0.3); however:
Package xchat-common is not configured yet.
dpkg: error processing xchat (--configure):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Errors were encountered while processing:

xchat
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
----
gconf-schemas is present in /sbin .
xchat can be launched, but it hangs and no GUI appears.
Any hint on what to try?
Thanks,
m.
