console works, X doesn't

Hello,

first, again for the last helps. By now I am able to start the console with:

console -d vga -d pc_kbd --repeat=kbd -d pc_mouse --repeat=mouse \ --protocol=ps/2 -d generic_speaker /dev/vcs

I observed that adding '-c /dev/cons' as :

console -d vga -d pc_kbd --repeat=kbd -d pc_mouse --repeat=mouse \ --protocol=ps/2 -d generic_speaker -c /dev/cons /dev/vcs

gives an error: something like ...too many non input prameters... which should just be the same because its the default, right?

Starting X gives in

/var/log/XFree86.0.log:

I tried startx and just X, both in mach and Hurd console, which give the final error message:
...keyboard (Directory not found)

The symlinks /dev/kbd -> cons/kbd and simular for the mouse are present. I also tried different configurations XF86config-4.

Now I havent left any ideas going on. Maybe you have ; - )

So far,
	Andi
