I've just used s-s-d from your package and it does not segfault anymore,
we should prod the dpkg team to include this, it's really annoying, and
make it difficult to install a system from scratch, or to use it. :>
Ognyan are you using Michael's packages with version 1.10.20.0.1 ?
Located on people.debian.org or the ones that were uploaded to the
official archive ?
