missing libmcrypt-dev (libgringotts build failure)

Hi,
recently I checked my buildd logs and the libgringotts package failed to
build on hurd because it was missing the libmcrypt-dev package:

Checking for source dependency conflicts...

apt-get failed.
[...]
But looking at the libmcrypt build logs, the package seems to be built
ok for hurd:

Can anyone help me on what's wrong?
