setting date stops networking?

Hello,

Upon seeing that date on my Hurd box is incorrect, I adjust it 
using 'date'. I did this from a ssh session. And suddenly my hurd box
turned deaf. I don't know the proper command to restart networking,
so I reboot it.

Is this a know bug?
