strange result when typing wrong password
Hi,
I don't know, but it seems like the login-program tries
to login even if the entered password was incorrect, if I
enter a directory outside /etc/login.
<cut cut>
Use `login USER' to login, or `help' for more information.
login> cd /
login> login root
Password:
login: Invalid password
login prompt (bash): .bashrc: No such file or directory
login prompt (bash): .profile: No such file or directory
I have no name!@clay:/$
Doesn't seem to be anything big with this though, just thought
it looked strange. Maybe this mail should have been sent to the
bug-hurd list instead, but I don't even know if this is a bug.
Also, this is quite interesting, nothing new ofcourse but still
quite interesting :)
Use `login USER' to login, or `help' for more information.
login> grep root /etc/passwd
root:<encrypted password>:0:0:root:/root:/bin/bash
Anyone know why it is like this? Is it possible to use shadow-file?
