gratuitous error (reproductible)

Hi!

I was trying to translate the alpha.gnu.org repository into my ~/mnt
when I got this:

rmh@bilbo:~# ls
mnt
rmh@bilbo:~# ls mnt/
rmh@bilbo:~# settrans -a ~/mnt/ /hurd/ftpfs alpha.gnu.org:/gnu/hurd
rmh@bilbo:~# ls mnt/
(takes a while)
ls: mnt/: Gratuitous error
