Hi List! Just downloaded the F1 cdroms, and finally my formerly broken installation appears to be somewhat fixed! Yaay! Except, I would kind of like to use the cd's with apt-cdrom, and I just cannot seem to be able to mount them in any way. Maybe my custom gnumach is missing something, maybe its something else. Here's what I'm dealing with: gnumach built with --enable-floppy --enable-ide --enable-ncr53c8xx \ --enable-eexpresspro100 ATAPI cd-rom is the only IDE drive, should be hd0 to Hurd. Also have a SCSI cdrw drive (0,6,0), I think it should be cd0 to Hurd. Have tried many permutations of the following: # mount -t isofs /dev/hd0 /cdrom Segmentation Fault # settrans -a /cdrom /hurd/isofs /dev/hd0 Invalid Superblock Translator died. Also tried these with /dev/cd0 with similar results ( devices do exist in /dev ). I'm not exactly sure what I haven't done right here, any guidance would be great. BTW - Cable dude is coming to hook me up w/ broadband Friday - Cool! Thanks! - Doug
