I haven't checked it extensivly (wheter it is already available, that is), but if it isn't yet ported give git a try; I was amazed, since git contains about 6 diff binaries and uses ncurses plus other stuff, but it compiles cleanly AFAICS and executes perfectly; a good bonus is that it displays the OS name in the status bar (git it's a file-manager like mc, but has other functions has well) so seing 'System: GNU' is somewhat of a thrill for me :) Just a thing: git needs some config file that fits the TERM that one uses, or it defaults to vt100; it has in the share dir the mach one; I use mach-color, but I just copied /share/git/.gitrc.mach to ~/.gitrc.mach-color and it worked ok, nice colours and all.
