Hello, I was upgrading my Hurd system to the latest version, and come across this error as it was unpacking diff: Unpacking replacement diff ... dpkg: /src/dpkg/dpkg-1.8.3.1/lib/dump.c:180: w_dependancy: Assertion `dyp->up == pigp' failed. E: Subprocess /usr/bin/dpkg exited unexpectedly. next apt-get upgrade went straight into the configure state for dpkg, so hopefully this means it was fully unpacked. -- Brian May <bam@debian.org>
