Hi,

the only commands to shut down the
Hurd I found were "halt" and "reboot" (no
such thing as "shutdown"), however,
most of the time on startup (after a
"reboot" command I receive "... not shut
down properly... check forced" or
something similar and the root filesystem
check yields zero dtimes and other
inconsistencies.
What is the correct command to shut
down the Hurd properly? Why do
"reboot" and "halt" not work?
I am using the woody distrib from fall
2000.
