Ok, I'll file the bugs later this week. This is a hard week for
me, but I will see what I can do.

This seems less likely in my case, since the files are all nfs mounted,
and the exact same files configure properly under Linux. However, it's
not impossible. It could be a problem with nfs, but that seems unlikely.
It seems much more likely to be a libc or m4 problem.
