Yes. The main concern is then if the drives will be free. Of course, only
free drivers are acceptable. But for basic hardware (VGA display, keyboard,
serial devices) this should not be too hard.

That would be the linux kernel mailing list.
Of course. I don't talk of making UDI the main entry point for devices at
all (there are many alternatives for that).
I was only checking if the use of UDI in KGI could cause license problems
and if yes in which ways.
