Hi, this is to echo this complaint:

dpkg --contents (both under linux and hurd) says

% dpkg --contents libdb2_2.4.14-1_hurd-i386.deb
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 1999-05-03 16:45 ./
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 1999-05-03 16:45 usr/
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 1999-05-03 16:45 usr/lib/
-rw-r--r-- root/root 255456 1999-05-03 16:44 usr/lib/libdb2.so.2.4.14
tar: Skipping to next file header
dpkg-deb (subprocess): unexpected end of file in member data \
in libdb2_2.4.14-1_hurd-i386.deb

gzip: stdin: invalid compressed data--crc error
dpkg-deb: subprocess gzip -dc returned error exit status 1

Although there might be intrinsic problems with the package, it looks that
not the entire thing was uploaded, since I believe I downloaded the entire
thing (I tried both alpha.gnu.org and ftp1.sinica.edu.tw/pub3/GNU/alpha):

% ls -l libdb2_2.4.14-1_hurd-i386.deb
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 197955 Jun 11 17:39 libdb2_2.4.14-1_hurd-i386.deb

It is not that I hope I'd understand anything about Hurd after man starts
working, but still...

Thank you,
andrew
