Dpkg-hurd problems

Dear all,

	I installed marcus's tarball on hurd, but have a few problems:

/var/lib/dpkg/updates doesn't exist. should I just create this file (or
should it be a directory).
Dselect looks for binary-i386 instead of binary-hurd-i386 :(
How do I tell dpkg what packages I have installed? or do I just have to
reinstall them all?
