first GNUmach package
Hello, I upload a debian GNUmach package right now.
I would like everyone who can to test it, I included allmost all device
drivers available (some scsi driver wouldn't compile), and so I would like
some feedback. The kernel is mostly untested (I booted it, but not more, as
I don't have a working Hurd right now), so be sure to make a backup of your
/boot/gnumach file prior.
This can even be installed with "dpkg -i --root=/gnu <debfile>" from a linux
partition, because there are no packaging scripts.
The kernel is unstripped, does anybody know if it needs to be?
Later versions could probably have the include files seperated. I'm not sure
how this is comparable to the kernel-headers and libc6 on Linux, so this
needs some toughts, too.
