apt-build and vim broken on unstable
hi,
today i had the wonderful experience to ditch my debian-hppa box with a
dist-upgrade that has made my sshd say something about sudden unwillingness to use some crypto lib... anyway, reinstalled:
- boot debian 3.0 hppa cd
- put stable in sources.list
- apt-get install kernel-image-2.4.18-32
- reboot
- put unstable in sources.list
- distupgrade, apt-get install apt-build
now here is my question i have regarding apt-build...
bluehawk:/var/cache/apt-build/build/hello-2.1.1# tail -n1
/etc/apt/apt-build.conf
options = -fPIC -shared -yet_dyn
## then, issue the apt-build command!
apt-build --reinstall --rebuild install hello
why do packages still build without my flags?
bluehawk:/var/cache/apt-build/build/hello-2.1.1# find . -name Makefile -exec grep --with-filename gcc {} \;
./intl/Makefile:CC = gcc
./contrib/Makefile:CC = gcc
./doc/Makefile:CC = gcc
./src/Makefile:CC = gcc
./src/Makefile:CCDEPMODE = depmode=gcc3
./man/Makefile:CC = gcc
./m4/Makefile:CC = gcc
./tests/Makefile:CC = gcc
./Makefile:CC = gcc
what am i doing wrong?
TIA,
Alex
PS: is vim broken on unstable?

needless to say it is the debian standard kernel:
Linux bluehawk 2.4.18-32 #1 Fri Nov 22 22:13:08 MST 2002 parisc GNU/Linux
but nvi works
