I forgot another thing:
	run "apt-get dist-upgrade"

this will update everything to "sarge" release and let you track
the "almost the latest" bits.

apt-get install ntpdate

or run "date" manually (with parameter) to set the date.
You might need to replace the battery. Drop by with the old one
and a voltmeter - I should have some replacements.

I think it's benign.
Write down the name of the /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.17* and reboot.
depmod should get run as part of startup and it should run w/o errors then.

I think you want to say "no" to continue.
Check /etc/palo.conf and /boot to verify if 2.4.20 is installed anyway.
If not, re-run the "apt-get install" again before rebooting.
