Re: X driver and config on an hp c180



I think your X config is corrupted, hard to track with little
knowledge I have of the config files at this moment.  From my little
experience with this Linux its not very stable for graphics at this
time.

Suggest only 1 screen setting using "dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86"
command... "1280x1024x8 colors"   "fbdrv" "stifb" etc enabled or
"artgraphx" something like that for vid card drivers.

If you've being using dselect to load different packages, and
performed a ^Z to quit the program, you've just messed up an unknown
setting at this moment. I've had to reload to get my system working.
easier way to get system running at the moment.
