That's odd... I'm on unstable and I get:

apt-get source kaffe
cd kaffe-1.0.6
dpkg-buildpackage -b -a -rfakeroot
...
configure: error: Configuration parisc-linux not supported
make: *** [/root/kaffe-1.0.6/debian/stamp/kaffe-configure] Error 1

What is your sources.list like?
