It also FTBFS on hppa/powerpc/ppc64, this is FTBFS on big endian.

The options forward are:
1. try to fix it for big endian with likely 0 users, or
2. submit a bug against ftp.debian.org asking for removal of the
   stale s390x binary, with lowering of the severity of this bug
