I have already mentioned the required changes to maintainer scripts
and offered to work on them, for what its worth.
I can't do it alone without help of someone who knows the packages
well, though. I'm also not as happy to work on patches if it means
getting more petty and hostile responses like this --- I'm currently
working on getting all the information needed to move forward
summarized for the technical committee, and then I don't plan to work
on this any more if it continues like this.
I can't see why you think alarming operators and asking them to
complain when the patches haven't even been written would help
anything.
