Bug#1095756: RM: sensors-applet -- ROM; Debian GNOME Maintainers consider removal the most appropriate action
Package: ftp.debian.org
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: sensors-applet@packages.debian.org, debian-gtk-gnome@lists.debian.org, Package Salvaging Team <team+salvage@tracker.debian.org>, Sam Morris <sam@robots.org.uk>, Filippo Giunchedi <filippo@esaurito.net>
Control: affects -1 + src:sensors-applet

Usertags: remove
Hi,
quoting two members from Debian GNOME Maintainers team:
Simon McVittie <smcv@debian.org>[1]
Looking at sensors-applet's bug list and upstream homepage, it seems
like it uses various other deprecated things that are on life support
(such as dbus-glib, which has been deprecated for years) ...
...
sensors-applet is a leaf package with a rapidly declining popcon score,
...
I think RM:RoQA might be the most appropriate action.
Dmitry Shachnev <mitya57@debian.org>
Please do RM:RoQA if it prevents you from removing dbus-glib or other
deprecated things.
So please lets remove this package.
Kind regards and thank you for your work as ftpmaster
Andreas.
