I have not used IRC for some years, so please forgive me for asking this question via email in the meantime.
I would like to use this emoji picker gnome shell extension (
https://github.com/maoschanz/emoji-selector-for-gnome), but I would also like to stick to packages in Debian main; therefore, I would like to package this extension. I used to package Perl modules, but I am not familiar with the conventions or practices surrounding GNOME extensions, and it has been some time since I've contributed to Debian, so I would need to brush up on the latest practices.
I'm on salsa as "jawnsy" and will check in on IRC #debian-gnome to say hello at some point!
Can someone please share a good link for getting started learning about how to package a GNOME shell extension, or perhaps a good example of packaging for a simple shell extension that I could use as a basis for this work?
