Hi: I hope this list is suitable for my help request: if not, sorry and please would you point out some other proper place. This is my problem: every time I log in my Gnome X window system, the small volume icon top right shows the `mute' state. Then I set it to `unmute', it's okay but at the next login I find it mute again. I have Debian Etch. Can anyone provide a help to solve this problem? Thanks in advance, Rodolfo
