It seems that the bug has been coincidentally fixed by the new function introduced to fix http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359912 in eel commit r1869. It replaces the GtkListStore compare function in which lies the crash with a specific one that works correctly. If you need a reference, please use http://bugs.debian.org/443701 which I'm CCing.
