That's great! I've respectively:
- filed an upstream bug for gnome-system-tools:

if upstream merges the patch against the latest SVN, I will merge
yours in the unstable tree,
- forwarded your message to the maintainer and upstream developer of
libgksu* for libgksuui1.0 and libgksu,
- pinged an uploader of seahorse which was around on IRC.

FYI, the default has been switched in experimental in version 2.10.6-5
of gtk+2.0.
