Hi,On my Debian menu, all file entries (i.e., not categories like Apps/ Editors, but things like Apps/Editors/Gedit) are listed twice. It only happens with the Debian tree, not with the others. I've found that there are 2 .desktop files for each app in my home dir:
pc@rocket:~$ find . -type f -name "*.desktop" -exec ls -lh {} \;|grep - i gedit -rw-r--r-- 1 pc pc 172 2005-08-01 11:23 ./.gnome/apps/Apps/Editors/ Gedit.desktop -rw-r--r-- 1 pc pc 218 2005-08-01 11:23 ./.local/share/applications/ menu-xdg/X-Debian-Apps-Editors-gedit.desktop
However, I'm not quite sure which one to remove. I guess one tree is a left-over from 2.8 or earlier but as they both have the same date I'm not quite sure which one it is...
May be a stupid question, nevertheless: any help is appreciated. :-) Best regards, Andreas
