Isn't this sort of where the Gnome System Tools fall in? I know they've
got a bootloader configuration dialog. Maybe adding some
shutdown/restart options to that would be the solution. That way they
could fit right in with the GST's interface to Grub/Lilo.

Ah yes, but we are not Mac or Windows users. ;) We like to have multiple
versions of kernels and different root partitions for different
distributions; and the power to control it. Muhuhahahaha.
