gnome-games in experimental not working
Hello,
I'm a testing user which has upgraded all the gnome2 packages because I
want the new desktop asap (it rocks). Everything is working ok (I had
the menu problems which was solved deleting the mentioned vfolder file)
except gnome-games.
I have several problems with them:
1.- Same-gnome fails on start with the following error:
** (same-gnome:4516): CRITICAL **: file same-gnome.c: line 396
(load_scenario): assertion `fname != NULL' failed
It seems a configuration problem, but I don't know gconf enough to see
what happens.
2.- Mahjong doesn't find its settings (lots of assertions failing for
settings being NULL).
3.- Several other games are broken the same way (specially if they need
images).
4.- I needed to add users to games groups in order to write high
scores, it wasn't needed before (correct me if I'm wrong, please).
5.- High scores have a problem with accents. It seems that now they are
stored in UTF-8, but before I had them in ISO-8859-1, and I get
pango-related error messages.
I'm new to Debian and GNU/Linux in general, so I don't know if I should
file bugs for this in BTS since the package is in experimental and the
author may be aware of this issues. Let me know...
I've tried to purge the package and reinstall it again with no success.
TIA,
Josep
